''Epicopeia mencia'' is a moth in the Epicopeiidae family. It was described by Moore in 1875.〔(LepIndex )〕 It is found in China,〔(Epicopeia at funet )〕 Vietnam,〔(BOLD Systems )〕 Korea, the Russian Far East, Japan and Taiwan. The wingspan is about 60 mm. Adults can be distinguished from related species by two rows of red markings on the hindwings. There are two forms in both sexes, a typical form and a white-banded form. The typical form is thought to mimic ''Byasa alcinous'', while the latter form mimics ''Pachliopta aristolochiae''.〔(Moths of Japan )〕 The larvae feed on ''Ulmus'' species. There is one generation per year. The species overwinters in the pupal stage.〔(Study on the bionomics of Epicopeia mencia and its control )〕 ==Gallery== Image:Epicopeia mencia (7887994430).jpg Image:Epicopeia mencia (9578264810).jpg Image:Epicopeia mencia (9578486970).jpg 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Epicopeia mencia」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
